Demonetization is the process of replacing the old currency with new one. #noteban is very trending topic on Twitter. ₹500 notes and ₹1000 notes were banned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi effective from 9th November 2016 and being replaced with new notes of ₹500 and ₹2000.
